April PPI came in at a lower than expected 0.2% m/m (consensus 0.4%) and 6.5% yr/yr (consensus 6.7%), but core PPI, which excludes food and energy, came in at a higher than expected 0.4% m/m (consensus 0.2%) and 3.0% yr/yr (consensus 2.9%).
