US Doctors Group Backs Medicinal Marijuana Use | DogFlu.ca
February 18 2008 - A group of doctors in the United States are backing the use of marijuana if it is for medicinal purposes only.
The American College of Physicians is the second largest medical doctors group in the US and is lobbying the US government to take a more relaxed stance on the issue of medical marijuana usage.
They are comprised of more than 124,000 doctors, and are based in Philadelphia.
They state that marijuana is a very valuable treatment tool when it comes to treating severe weight loss associated with AIDS, and nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy in cancer patients
