NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Stocks futures edged lower early Wednesday as investors awaited a rate decision from the Federal Reserve and a flurry of corporate earnings.
About three hours before the start of trading, Nasdaq and S&P futures were a shade lower and indicating a lackluster start for Wall Street.
The Fed is expected to cut rates yet again when it releases its policy statement at 2:15 p.m. ET. But many will scrutinize the central bank's statement to see if it plans to keep rates steady after that cut.
