Corcovado, Ben Harper & St0ckman's Escape

After 9-11 your's truly has become very religious. Working on Wall street at the time, seeing buildings fall around you and the chaos first hand, one begins to question things. Yes i question 9-11, I questioned God and i found the truth in more ways than one.

One shining through the darkness. One parts the sky. One name? Ben Harper and his amazing band the innocent criminals have blown the st0ckman away. It is so wonderful to come across a mainstream musician that is not overly Christian but has very spiritual lyrics. One song in particular is Ben's "Blessed to be a witness." The song is based on the "Christ The Redeemer" or "Christo Redentor" statue on Corcovado in Brazil. Ironically the st0ckman is considering an escape to Brazil with a lady friend he meet while she was on vacation in Manhattan. Do i bounce? Who knows.

I know one thing. All of my public projections on the markets and our economy are coming to and evil fruition. I have been DEAD ON and i see a great depression(times two) on a global scale coming. After the financial catastrophes there will be a re balance of economic growth and power to other nations, Brazil being one of them.

Maybe I'll stay and let that Irish blood flow with a touch of a true patriotic stance. Maybe I'll stay. He knows.

Happy Sunday!

Ben Harper and The Innocent Criminals
Blessed To Be A Witness, Late Late show with Craig Kilborn:
Btw musically speaking Ben and his band are amazing!

"Blessed To Be A Witness"

Corcovado parted the sky
And through the darkness
On us he shined
Crucified in stone
Still his blood is my own
Glory behold all my eyes have seen
Have seen

I am blessed to be a witness

Some have flown away
And can't be with us here today
Like the hills of my home
Some have crumbled and now are gone
Gather around for today won't come again
Won't come again

I am blessed to be a witness

So much sorrow and pain
Still I will not live in vain
Like good questions never asked
Is wisdom wasted on the past
Only by the grace of God go I
Go I

I am blessed to be a witness

Corcovado, Helicopter View:

Ben Harper's Where would i go:
Amazing, absolutely amazing A cappella performance half way through an electrified song. Stunning!
